Military Spouses and Family Members
Military spouses and family members may be eligible for financial assistance through Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAAs). Cosponsored by the Department of Defense and the Department of Labor to help active duty spouses earn portable careers, a MyCAA can help to pay for education expenses, including tuition, books, fees, tools and equipment, and licensing fees. It may also be possible for veterans to transfer unused benefits to spouses and children under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The Department of Defense (DoD) determines whether or not you can transfer benefits to your family but once the DoD approves benefits for transfer, the new beneficiaries apply for them at VA. A Flexible and Portable Career Choice
There are very few careers that support flexible schedules and portability as well as those in the beauty and wellness industry. State reciprocity for licenses can vary state-to-state, but often our graduates can take their career with them as they move throughout the country. This is a great benefit, especially if your home may be a moving target.
